Robot House is present at the UK's largest dedicated Robotics and Automation Exhibition at the NEC in Birmingham on 19th and 20th March 2024. Join us at stand 1050 to learn about the newest Robot House research projects and live interact with some of our robots to see how we design human-robot interaction experiments. More details about our booth can be found in the exhibitor list. Get directions to the venue here. We hope to meet you at this event, which provides great networking opportunities to establishing new connections with us other major businesses in the sector.
During the whole exhibition, two of our staff will provide the possibility to live interact with the Pepper and Miro-E robots to observe their capabilities, and gain insights about their inner workings. Drs Vignesh Velmurugan and Patrick Holthaus, who is also managing the Robot House, will also be happy introduce you to research topics in the areas of social, assistive and rehabilitation robotics.
Some of our recent projects revolve around social robotics (e.g. personalisation) and assistive robotics (e.g. wearable technology) where we explore how to ensure robots’ potential and their behaviours to act in a socially acceptable way and to engender trust among the people that interact with them. Many of our research projects are focused on investigating how robotics technologies can support independent living in later life.
